Boomkat Product Review:
3 channels new 12" arrives fresh off the back of a highly rated twelve for Lazarus and Styles' much touted imprint Crosstown Rebels imprint, as they follow the trusty path up and out into the overground, qualifying from the finishing school that the Trapez limited series has become, to the fuly fledged mothership full label. Word on the street is that these guys are hot stuff, and there's ample evidence on show as "Close up" is a sickening acid rocker, in the nicest possible way, punishing and deviously effective. The B side opens with "amnesia", the deep, positively tribal little sister of the "Lady Salata" tune on the topside, satisfying bumps to the fore to begin with, then eerie outer space sounds invading the sound-mix towards the end - I'm not sure what kind of records they play at Amnesia nowadays but this is almost definitely sunny enough for the true ravers. Overall, the percussion is what really raises the 3 Channels sound a cut above the rest, and firms it up for veritable canings at the summer morning parties. Large.
