N.Y rudeboy Drop The Lime is completely prolific right now, turning in a mountainous ruck of material over the last few months - and he doesn't seem to be letting the quality drop for his most recent and strongest of the lot for Rag 'N Bone. Title track 'bad girlz' is his best track since the split 12" with Blackham aka Rotator on ruff a few months back, bad girlz embarks on an electro step mission, wriggling hardcore breakbeats into the blend and abusing the EQs with some year 2050 bass excitement. I can't wait to hear this one out a big system. Side 2 is no less thrilling, with the happily hardcore 2step-breaks of 'hold on' or the attention-deficit-step and guttural bass imprint of 'mandeer hunted', DTL has found a groove tighter than a gnats fanny. Easily one of the best hardcore/steppers records this year, beating the rag 'n bone team at their own game.
