B12 Records Archive, Vol. 7
Finally reaching the concluding installment of their essential reissue series, B12 deliver vol.7 collecting the remaining tracks from the late 90's as well as their comeback material recorded over the latter half of this decade. CD 1 includes the legendary 15th EP under their Redcell alias which at the time was never released, preceding a 10 year withdrawal from techno which ended with the release of new material and finally this EP in 2007. The disc finishes with the previously unheard and unreleased 'Seedoiz', a beautiful and beatless soundscape that fans of the group and mid-period Autechre will instantly fall in love with. For many the second disc is a real treasure trove of B12 booty, compiling the best B12 tracks released thorugh labels other than their own. This includes tracks from albums and comps like 'Virtualsex', 'Time Tourist', 'Reflections on Reflections' and 'Organised' for labels like A.R.T, Warp, Buzz and Seed. We're trying to hold back the tears right now but listening to their music isn't helping so we're off to our weekly Electronic Nerd support sessions down the community centre. Highly Recommended.
