Boomkat Product Review:
Few surprises here from superproducer Hudson Mohawke who remains possibly one of the most influential artists of the last decade - for better or for worse.
The overdriven trap that made those TNGHT rekkids so special and gave "Yeezus" teeth might not sound as minty fresh as it did in 2012 but there's still plenty to enjoy here. Everything's produced in squealing HD, with tracks like opener 'Brooklyn' and 'Spruce Illest Bumper' reminding us of brighter, simpler, more decadent times. There's even a few more restrained moments, like 'Tar', a guitar led bumper that sounds a bit like Bibio thru a washing machine. It's all relatively slight - most of the tracks aren't much longer than a minute - but if u've been thirsting for more HudMo action then "B.B.H.E." should hit the spot.
