Boomkat Product Review:
Blessed with the kind of title that would have Robert Lowth reaching for the Tesco Value gin, 'B,B,B,B,B,B,B,B,B,B' marks Luke Abbott's first release on Output with a circuit bending trip down the wires. Very much from the school that adheres a brutalist approach to anything that happens to contain some silicon, Luke Abbott's studio is the place where electronic toys go to die - with Abbott spraying all manner of 8-bit fury against a solid bedrock of wrought-iron beats. Opening with the consonant heavy title track, the back is primed with the similarly tough 'Buckinghamshire' rubbish, let's go home' - wherein the sonic stupidity of DJ Scotch Egg et al is beat into a rhythmical beast that won't have you running for the hills. Costello!
