Boomkat Product Review:
A big bass-bin filling, dance-floor destroying track from brazils hottest techno export Gui Boratto. This new 12" for the neophyte Kompakt sublabel K2 is an excellent follow on from the druggy jacks of John Dahlback's Hug project on the last K2 release. The B-side is less exhilarating but the A side has the power to fill the room with sound in a way that only kompakt releases do, subtle sounds building throughout with percussion to excite, but the smoothly relentless continuous bass is where this really does significant damage, teasing then delivering in no uncertain terms. This is not a peak time techno record but when you get to the mid point and the next level of sounds drop you know the peak time is coming - one of those tracks allowing you to shift a gear and kickstart abandon. Ace.
