Boomkat Product Review:
**Grey Vinyl** Mark Broom and Gunjack have trodden quite different paths to get where they are now, but find a common, if somewhat unstable ground in the arena of post-dubstep darkness on the new Consume 10". Broom comes with a long list of credentials for Warp, BPitch and R&S generally manufacturing grade A techno, but slips into 138bpm garage-techno mode on 'Slimy Trench', crafting adroit metallic syncopations with slinking synths reminding of Goblin wound into droning dub-techno chords. On the flip Brian Gibbs aka Gunjack flips out with a more cinematic take on his breakbeat exercises, lending horror movie keys from the lowest end of the register to diving subs and hard swinging rhythms made to cause damage and scare women and children. Unexpectedly diverse and deadly killers from two hugely respected producers for fans of Surgeon, HATE records or Remerge.
