Boomkat Product Review:
L.A.’s Moon B greases his private imprint, World Aurale with the sweet ’n sticky vintage boogie expressions of Anything, making up his first release of the year and a follow-up to his II LP for longtime allies, PPU.
In case you’re under any illusions, it’s a proper viber, encircling six slices of heat-hazy, neon-tinged California feels from the classy mid-tempo boogie-house slank of Anything and his supremely woozy take on the double-breasted soul of Alexander O’Neal/Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis in his tile-glyding Mending, with some reel special stuff in the Japanese-styled Atmosfear, or the saucy chops of Ban Ki and Nite High.
You know the feeling when it hits. Tip!
