Boomkat Product Review:
Bold, selt-titled debut entry from Ana Helder for the ingenious Cómeme crew. As part of the new wave of young South American producers including Rebolledo and Edu Imbernon, Ana makes sweat-inducing dance music with a clear awareness of classic Chicago, Detroit, London and Berlin disciplines, but all filtered with an inimitable Latin grooviness. From her base in Rosario, Argentina she delivers the weirdly wired epic EBM-House thruster 'Complicado' next to the cascading NRG synths of 'Buena Puntería' before slipping into the dadaist House symphony 'El Groove De Tu Corazón' sounding kinda like Dynamo Dreesen on Ayahuasca, and infusing the jack with a kinky Champeta bounce on 'Next Club'. Exclusive to this digital release 'Mugre' (translates as 'Dirt') is a purely raw Chi-town jam, while Cómeme's Diegor helps out on the hyno-tech slink of 'Camuchi' and label head Matias Aguayo rebuilds 'Next Club' with a feverish intent. Killer EP!
