Continuing to move beyond her indie-pop past as part of Tokyo’s Bis, Tentenko’s two cuts pick up in much weirder area than where she left off on the ’Super Mild’ split, kneading out the slow viscous bleeps and pitch bent tones of ‘Ki-Iro’, while taking her Taiko drum inspiration along churning mutant disco routes in ‘Mizu-Iro.’
The ever dependable Toulouse Low Trax does his sozzled, swaggering thing to a remix of her ’Spray Sky Mix’, and MM/KM turn up a fine mix of stepping wooden drums with silkier electronics on the louche ‘Get Version’, with Hamburg and the Golden Püdel’s Nika Son left to mulch Tentenko’s stranger essence in the concrète tape loops of her ‘Mizu-Iro Morph.’
