Boomkat Product Review:
Another welcome Rhythm & Sound presentation of longtime unavailable Bullwackies' material, drawn this time from the golden year of 1982. Offering fully worked over dubwise excursions and versions of tracks voiced by such luminaries as MAX ROMEO, BARRINGTON SPENCE, HORACE ANDY and JUNIOR DELAHAYE. With the undeniable influence of Black Ark Lee Perry still looming large over his sound, Lloyd Barnes began to carve a niche, with much of the same equipment, which would form the distinctive roots of New York's hotbed of reggae talent to this day. Its hard to define the elements of this sound, suffice to say if it still matters to the Berlin crew to such an extent, then it should matter to you.
