Boomkat Product Review:
Submerged, somnambulant techno depth from White Material's new workmate.
Alvin Aronson hails from New York and debuts an impressively effective sound with 'Aevus'.
The title cut, like the B-side's 'Hominid', exhibits some serious sound designer chops alongside four deeply druggy dance tracks.
Fog City hovers and flickers like some ghost from Vladislav Delay's Chain Reaction cabinet, whilst Drone Techno roils with the heft of some early, blunted Norman Nodge or Dettmann ace working out in a U-bahn air duct.
The other two are still heavily narcotised, but a bit more up for it; City 2 dream-jackin' like a lost NWAQ bomb, and Extension banging it rugged and raw like a Florian Kupfer or DJ Richard tool.
