Boomkat Product Review:
Mad Mike comes out of his bunker to deliver a 909 breakbeat assault complete with warbling strings and old school stabs, a return to the techno school of of old with an almost cheesy stab followed by the kind of analog synths that you ain’t heard for a while. A strange one, but a forceful number all the same. The flip offers ‘Combustion Chamber’ which sounds outdated, though in a classic discoid fashion, the inscription on the 12” reading ‘Respect The B52’s’ so it could well be a tribute for their classic Mesopotamia track. A searing old skool rave noise over the top of the beats blares out relentlessly and gives a real rave feel to the track, almost Riot, but not quite, check.
