Boomkat Product Review:
The first single to be lifted from Annie Clark's inaugural 4AD long-player is fairly difficult to categorize: it's musically resplendent, full of wily melodies, vocal harmonies and hooks a-plenty, yet there's a fair old amount of electronic noise floating around in here too - she may look like a quiet and demure young lady but Clark isn't afraid of throwing a little bit of digital distortion your way. On the B-side there's a more sedate, atmospheric synth-pop outing in the form of 'Bicycle'. "What a shame, you took my tennis shoes" announces Clark at one point, enigmatically. Can't wait for the album.
