Boomkat Product Review:
Fresh from providing ambient soundscapes and drum sculpting for the recent Grace Jones album, where he worked alongside Brian Eno, Logan has already completed a soundtrack to a full length feature documentary and produced a very well recieved debut album, and he's barely into his twenties! 'Accurate Spit Boy' is taken from his forthcoming followup LP 'Inscape' and follows his inquisitively improvisational and experimental ear into highly complex and accomplished soundscapes. Wearing his Autechre influences proudly, the title track is a convoluted mass of digital manipulations piling rhythms into one another with a skill similar to that of his idols. 'Pigs' follows with a trip into Logan's clearly unique imagination, matching field recordings of said animal with finely synthesized textures, while 'Swimming With Horse' takes a futurist B-Boy stance with intensely brooding urban soundscapes. Our favourite track however has to be the overcast 'Cut By Concrete' on the flip, working with a heavily structured steppers syncopation sitting somewhere between T++ and Ae with gritty metallic textures and the tense post-industrial atmospheres of NIN.
