Boomkat Product Review:
Domu's Trebleo imprint is fast aligning itself with the very top end of the wonky school - that's the likes of Flying Lotus, Hudmo, Samiyam, Rustie and Lukid - and this mighty selection from Ad Bourke probably does more than anything else on the label to date to establish those credentials. The opening "JJ Adams" spins and deconstructs around suitably frayed and woozy synthlines, while the percussion clips and stabs in all the right places with a heaving, squashed vibe that weighs proceedings down to that tantalising low-end."Queen Beez" is another highlight - a droning synthline acts as a backbone to a breezy cacophony of broken synths and compressed percussion that's in no rush to outpace itself - its just brilliantly lazy, f*cked up beat music of the finest kind. Followers of any of the aforementioned producers - particularly Flylo and Samiyam would do well to get on this double fast. Killer.
