Boomkat Product Review:
A collaboration with English folk chanteuse Nancy Elizabeth, 'A Flower White' is lifted from Susumu Yokota's Mother LP. The track is an otherworldly confluence of airy vocals, fluid, mysterious synths and wispy electronic programming given an extra dimension by the line-up of remixers on hand to re-arrange the piece. Seeland put in an especially strong showing, lending a more organic feel thanks to intricate, vintage instrumentation and a buffed-up major key melody. Suddenly it all sounds like a space-age Vashti Bunyan. Montag and Oen Sujet both put in compelling performances on their remixes, but its that Seeland contribution that makes the EP as compelling as it is.
