Boomkat Product Review:
Keeper of the faith, Colin Cloughly aka Anodyne summons the searing hardcore IDM electro of 'Empire Of Dust' backed with remixes by Plaid, Subjex, and Dead Fader for London's Combat Recordings. Anodyne's original is the centrepiece, a dramatic slab of pointillist steppers' electro rhythms and near symphonic synth dystopia that'll strike a cord with listeners of a certain disposition. Dead Fader's remix for 'Empire Of Light' reduces it to beatless lush-out before swooning with industrial halfstep swerve, whereas Plaid retune 'Empire Of Glass' for their own 'floor with elasticated breakbeat techno patterns and bittersweet harmonics beside an overweight halfstep mix for 'Empire Of Light' from Subjex.
