Boomkat Product Review:
**Part one of two, with a South London Ordnance remix** Juuso Malin dons his Femme En Fourrure guise for the first of two EP samplers on Jon Convex’s Convex Industries imprint. It’s a stylish if heavily airbrushed display, exploring different tempos and beat patterns but united by its slick, minimal, bass-heavy aesthetic, velvety spoken female vox, and an undercurrent of alone-in-my-penthouse melancholy. Starting with the skinny fashionista ghetto-tech of ‘Bound’, ‘Watcher’ follows and occupies a sweet spot between oily avant-R&B and lush Slava-style quasi-footwork. A club-ready remixe from South London Ordnance complete the package.
