Boomkat Product Review:
Permanent Vacation get the best out of Lord Of The Isles in the intimate but widescreen deep house scapes of '301C Symphony'. Six tracks present the clandestine Scottish producer's filigree balance of dancefloor momentum and emotional weight in fine style. The title track comes off like Analord meets Larry Heard, and the proggy spirit of 'co2o' appears in condensed 6 min and a sumptuous 12 minute versions we could easily imagine hugging a stranger to in Panorama bar. There's also a lovely ambient piece called 'Western Electric' and more folkwise acid in 'Fyne'.
