Boomkat Product Review:
4th (and we'd imagine final) single from Emika's eponymous debut album, including a special new Jimmy Edgar version and Kilon TeK remix. Besides being the opening track to her album, '3 Hours' was also the demo track which clinched Emika's deal with Ninja Tune. It was apparently inspired by a sunday afternoon spent dancing to Dettmann at Berghain and you can certainly feel that vibe reflected in its dark sensuality and bruising/bruised Techno intentions. Collaborating with Jimmy Edgar, she also provides 'Hit Me', a more sleazy, funked-up New Jack version, beside Kilon TeK's kinda cheesy electro remix.
