Boomkat Product Review:
Marcus Intalex is arguably producing his best music in years as Trevino. On his return to Martyn's 3024 label, he rolls out four supple fusions of electro, acid, house and techno sculpted with a slick D&B nous. With 'Gone' he slinks on rolling acidic bass and dub-shuffled techno percussion with lip-smacking late night sensuality, and ups the ante with dark Reese bass and Dopplereffkt-style pads on the Detroit-inspired vectors of 'Twelve'. At his most emotive, 'Regnie' and 'Pimlico' captures a sincere, classic sense of wide-eyed electro and Manchester techno-soul that's missing in many of his contemporary's colder, stush electro productions.
