Boomkat Product Review:
‘2 Da Core’ is the best yet from Anthoney Hart’s Basic Rhythm, packing three lush and aggy ravers plus a killer footwork remix by RP Boo
Sounds like the lad put away a gram of mandy before makign this one, resulting a finer balance of his taut hardcore/grime frameworks with much lusher rushes of rave pads and diva stabs in a classic, nutty UK style.
‘2 Da Core’ packs gasping divas and pill-belly chords in a ragged ‘ardcore roll cage, while ‘Get Up’ presses a fierce R&G style shot thru with ripping power electronics, and ‘Nuh Ramp’ locks off a bumpier sort of Ghost-style garage reduction. Footwork originator RP Boo is the ideal bod to rework ‘2 Da Core’, returning a more supple fusion of proper Chi flex and air-carving junglist gestures.
