Goodly Time - Second Edition

Second edition of this most loveable of records - featuring yet another new and specially designed sleeve designed by Eli Kishimoto! We love this record so dearly we almost removed it from this newsletter so we could hold on to all the copies we've got and scatter them around the house for Joy. The work of the slightly eccentric and enigmatic Chris Baillif, Poistion Normal's first release a couple of years ago on the Mind Horizon label was an instant Neck classic. An assamblage of sampled childrens records, lo-fi guitars and random carboot artefacts, together with that haunting, endearing, nostalgic voice, it was unlike anything we had ever heard while at the same time reminding us so joyously of early childhood we just couldn't stop playing it. And so, the record came and went in a huff and Position Normal disappeared into the ether leaving us hoping that someday he'd return for more. A bizzarre series of events leads up to this second album, details we will never quite know except that, oddly enough, fashion designer Eley Kishimoto comissioned these tracks to be used for sale alongside his screen print work.The record itself is magical once again, a kinda proto Badly Drawn Boy-esque vibe (circa ep1/2) crossed with the records your parents bought you from Woolies when you were 8.
