Boomkat product review for:

lakosa & rick grant - Core / Tambourine

Excellent UK tech-house offset with tuffer techno and subtle African influence. Birmingham's Lakosa and London's Rick Grant make a great pairing, whether riding Sleeparchive-like bass pump spiked with funked-up drums on A-side 'Core', or swinging with sleek, moody bass and reduced, shaking polyrhythms in the deeper cleft of 'Tambourine'. Expect to hear both tunes everywhere from Berlin to Brighton. Support from Appleblim, Alex Coulton, South London Ordnance, Akkord, Locked Groove…
