BNJMN presents himself in dreamy downbeat and techno modes on his debut Singing Statues 7". Working under the (possibly) Ballard-referencing Singing Statues guise, 'Persian Prince' comes off as a sanguine, wistful piece with gauzy guitars and yearning vocals underpinned by gently insistent bass bumps, all trimmed to an efficient, popwise agenda. Reverting to his BNJMN alias on the B-side, he gives a buoyant posh techno remix reminding of The Field or something James Holden might play.
