**A highlight of Ty's 'Twins' LP for Drag City, paired with new and exclusive song 'For Those Who Weep'** " ‘Would You Be My Love’ is the second single from Ty’s titanic third album of 2012, ‘Twins’. It’s a candy-coated ‘American Bandstand’ type moment that is sure to guarantee lots of twisting. The song never quits, bouncing along at a medium high degree of tempo that is only enhanced by revolving at 45rpm. Note the depths of longing, loneliness and melancholy underneath the gleaming waves of the song, for these represent the other ‘twin’ alluded to in the title of ‘Twins’: For every thrusting rocker out for a good time, there’s a retiring romantic, wanting you to know that he’s afraid of disappearing from the face of the Earth, and both of them sharing space inside the same skull. The flipside of the record, ‘For Those Who Weep’, is a non-album moment dressing an old familiar scrap of melody in a messianic tunic, as Ty recalls being compelled from beyond himself to participate in the spirit-world of music, uniting the people together. Low-fi production crunch gives the waltzing acoustic guitars a sweet Stonesy edge, freeing this simple song to sing intimately yet anthemically inside our collective head."
