levon vincent - Stereo Systems
*Strictly Limited Copies* Levon Vincent presents three super-heavyweight house joints on his boutique Novel Sound imprint - his only release in 2012. The main attraction is A-side 'Stereo Systems', which was last heard on his much-loved Fabric 63 mix CD. It's afforded the full side to really stretch out and seduce with a powerful display of concussive kicks, creepy synth trickles and that ultra-spacious sound design element which elevates his music head and shoulders above the crowd. The sense of delayed gratification is masterful. However, it's the new B-side cut 'Together Forever', a noisy strongback industrial jacker with widescreen rendering bound to to get maximum plays 'round our way, while 'Speck's Jam' lends some balance with a bluesy lick of guitar wrought with swinging claps, full sunk subs and FX recycled from his seminal 'DJSF' parts. It's very much recommended!
