terrence dixon - Minimalism Re:Vision
In light of his stunning album for Tresor, Silent Servant, DVS1 and Mike Huckaby return to a vintage Terrence Dixon prototype from 1995. A-side, Mike Huckaby tweaks the original's insistent, loopy jack with nimble fingers whereas Silent Servant hears it as a tunnel of hypnotic, droning dark techno. DVS1's take is perhaps most faithful to the original, teasing out the lead organ refrain with singing hi-hat patterns and subtly nugded, tweaky programming for the dancers.
