Over 18 songs 'Diablos Del Ritmo' anthologises the virile melting pot of Afrobeat, Palenque, Tropical Funk, Terapia and psychedila rhythms and the tropical dance styles of Puya, Porro, Gaita, Cumbiamba, Mapalé, Chandéon, all exposing a steamy, grinding night's worth of pure groove heat irresistible to anyone with a set of hips and ears. Between the push-pull insistence of Ramiro Beltrán's achingly sexy 'Agoniza El Magdalena', the hypnotic polyrhythmic shuffle of Los Alegres Diablos' 'La Motilona' there's more hooks and drums than you can shake two tails to, making for guaranteed party starter or equally a damn fine education in Colombia's more salubrious export.
