ultrademon - Step Into Liquid
**Edition of 500** Brand spanking madnezz from seapunk progenitor, Ultrademon, surfacing on a label secretly affiliated to one of the UK's finest. In case you don't frequent nerdy forums or the likes of DIS magazine, an introduction to seapunk is probably in order: it's a netwise neologism coined to frame the currents of certain plugged-in youths, mostly from North America, who're shredding up footwork, trance, happy hardcore, electroid dubstep and samples of David Attenborough with a gleeful sense of fun and mischief that's earned it a keen underground following. So, what you'll find here is the the first seapunk bits on vinyl, spanning the fibrillating, hyperactive footwork/jungle funk of 'Step Into Liquid (It's A Trap)', replete with Attenborough chattin' about dolphin attacks, plus a chunky carousel-techno remix by Rephlexian, Dave Monolith, on the A-side; the B-side ramps a dotty mix of happy hardcore breakbeats and piana with steel drum melodies and juked 808s beside a crude and rude slowfast bouncer.
