Two corking Detroit-style shifters from Edinburgh's Stephen Brown, backed with harder Ben Sims remixes. Brown, a veteran of nearly 20 years with releases on Transmat, Djax-Up-Beats and Skudge, really shows his stripes on the A-side; the tightly coiled torque and slashing, hands-on edits of 'Fuego', and the tucked-in funk of 'Polar' both making for deeply gratifying dancefloor workouts. Remixing, Ben Sims turns 'Polar' into a slamming jack tool and fires 'Fuego' up with his trademark percussion and searing synthlines. The A-side is well recommended to fans of Shake, EQ'D, WAX, Claude Young etc.
