Valencia's Jose Antonio Serrano has an ear for integrating acoustic instruments into beat-driven electronic music with a flair comparable to that of Telefon Tel Aviv and their Hefty contemporaries. There's that same kind of hyper-real sonic makeup to Noisome's material that makes his music sound on the one hand quite naturalistic, yet on the other very digitised. Touchin' Bass' Ed Devane disrupts this peculiar netherworld by weighing in with a smashed-up remix that's about as electronic and mangled as you could hope for without everything turning to mush. Nice.
