indigo - Wake EP
Manchester's Indigo successfully switches to a darker, swinging Techno-House sound for a cracking 12" on Hypercolour. Our customers will no doubt be familiar with Indigo's solo output on his home-brewed Mindset label, DBridge's Exit and and ASC's Auxiliary: Symbol series, among others, but we're sure you've never heard him quite like this. Perhaps taking cues from the likes of Kassem Mosse, Maya Jane Coles and Blawan, he leans in with the hulking industrial funk of 'Wake' and the submerged, tucked-in acid throb of 'Aradia' on the A-side, while the B-side is reserved for the craftier functions of 'Kali', twisting offset and Technoid syncopation with mean electro torque before unleashing a lamping 4/4.
