dmx krew - Decaying World EP
When all around you is falling down, you can rely on EDMX to cut through the crap and just bring it, old-school style. His latest material comes courtesy of good-looking new London label Wavey Tones, and constitutes one of his most satisfying releases to date: 'Mustard Parasol' at first appears to be a straight-up electro pastiche, before the 303 lines lurking in the background intensify, resulting in a witty, seamless hybrid of boogie and acid. 'Decaying World' is another boogie number showcasing Ed's evolved sense of melody and arrangement, while the bump 'n clap of 'Flat Rate' and 'Three Days Of Entropy' nods to Miami Bass and Erik Travis, adding a well-judged Drexicyan flourish.
