black eagle child - Go Around, Again
In prolific operation for the likes of Digitalis, Preservation, and Blackest Rainbow since 2008, Michael Jantz presents his umpteenth album as Black Eagle Child. On 'Go Around, Again' he mans guitar, drums and wheezing electronics in a spiralling, gentle cascade of loops. It's hooky and vaguely experimental with a sun-blessed neo-kosmische bent ideal for cotton-headed pastoral types. A-side is one long composition called 'Sun Cylinder' where he really gets locked into his groove and B-side features three more concise pieces finishing with the lovely, Afro-lilting timbres of 'Eighteen And Six'. One for fans of Mark McGuire, Emeralds etc.
