Vagabond American legend Carlos Gonzalez drops his first NNF full-length, featuring 10 of his greatest junkyard surf-slime jams of all time. Like a sozzled amalgam of Cosmic Dennis Greenidge, Stephen Malkmus and Ducktails, 'Midnight At Mary's House' helplessly veers between sleight pop hooks and slacker stylings with a grungy stream-of-consciousness hit straight onto cassette, giving the impression this was all done in more or less one take in a corrugated-roofed shack high on petrol fumes and sh*tty bushweed robbed from a neighbour's homegrown patch. In other words: it's properly hypnagogic, and we love it.
