Using only his own falsetto-leaning voice (layered and processed), sampled vocals and synthesiser, Gillim generates four new age-inflected examples of modern plainsong, reminding us a little of Julianna Barwick's The Magic Place, but probably coming over more like a hungover, heartbroken Autre Ne Veut - in a good way. An intriguing record, at times dazzlingly pretty, and definitely well recommended for fans of kosmische pop and the deeper, darker side of the chillwave fall-out.
