ekoplekz - Dromilly Vale
**Limited edition of 300 copies** We return to the world of Ekoplekz this week with one of his most rarified outings; the alien encounters of 'Dromilly Vale'. After riveting experiments for Mordant Music, Punch Drunk and Perc Trax, among others, he follows F.C. Judd, ADR and NO UFO's to expand the headspace of Warp/British Library-affiliated Public Information label with five brilliantly unstable, unpolished and visceral improvisations sounding quite unlike anything else out there right now. His music captures and channels that same adventurous, eccentric spirit of the radiophonic pioneers and mixes it with a wild-eyed post-rave sense of psychedelia to achieve a sound not beholden to trend and excitingly free to move wherever he likes. We'd have to say that this is one of his finest releases. From the unanchored drift of 'Dick Mills Blues' to the psychotomimetic episode of 'Neutronik' and the deeply esoteric scapes of the title track, there's a tactile fluidity and explorative intent which is just about peerless in his own, self-ploughed field.
