**Edition of 200 on translucent green wax with double sided insert** Odd and otherworldly collision of thrift shop samples and celestial noise from Pierrot Lunaire for Grant and Rachel Evans' Hooker Vision imprint. 'Theme For Ascension and Eternal Love' is his first release on wax following a bunch of tapes, and will be the first time many have encountered his cosmically free and mischievous sound. A-side 'Hypnotique' dials into stray, criss-crossing radio signals where we can just about detect odd voices and melodies through the murk, before a honking sax takes over and flops about the stereo field, his vocals pushed to the edge of sanity while blurting noise interjections ask unpolite and baffling questions. Imagine Golden Retriever gone awol in a frazzled '60s acid flick and you're in the right zone. Flipside 'Take Me With You' grabs us by the ears to dance a waltz around samples of native South American music and Caretaker-esque ballroom memories, all lovingly coated in visceral, viscous noise textures. ACE.
