lucky paul - Elephant Island (Midland / Ossie Remixes)
Lucky Paul, drummer for Feist and creator of dreamily psychedelic pop, presents his second single, backed with remixes from Midland and Ossie. His original 'Elephant Island' meshes measured '60s psych-pop vocals with shuffling mid-tempo drum and moody bass rumbles in a cool style just to the left of say, Matthew Dear or Bullion. Remixing, Ossie gives a tight, minimal Funky overhaul with precise drums and rude bass squirms, while Midland teases out the blue melancholy of the original into a bruised and coarse-textured House groove.
