rivet - Amid The Roar
Following two well-received 12"s on Naked Index, Rivet serves two tracks of grungy, funked-up Techno for Sweden's Kontra-Musik, backed with a relentless Marcel Fengler remix. A-side his 'Metrist' ploughs forth with walloping kicks before soon breaking down into a slicing, syncopated swinger buffered by cracking snares and bouncing dub chords for a fat-assed flex. Flipside Marcel Fengler reins in the wayward funk with a more uptempo pace and stentorian handclaps, before it's back to dirtier, more crooked styles on 'Sleepwalker'.
