Epic, dreamy future-disco from Mute's new darling, S.C.U.M, lifted from their acclaimed debut album 'Again Into Eyes' and backed with a stranger Carter Tutti remix. Suggesting Erasure dancing with Sigur Ros at a gay disco in the tundra, 'Whitechapel' is a triumphant piece of dancefloor pop awash with magical mellotron against a backdrop of soaring choirs, also included in condensed single version. Equally the briefer 'Blindness' is composed with an ethereal grace, almost like Rufus Wainwright mixed with M83, but Carter Tutti provide a sharp counterpoint with their suggestively sticky rework, inverting the effect for a sleazier, amyl-infused and grinding dancefloor appeal.
