Ghettoteknitianz roll out their whole crew - Rashad and Spinn, plus veterans Traxman and Gantman, and youngers Manny and DJ Earl - for a fresh six-tracker on Mu. With each new Footwork release from Planet Mu we can hear the style being honed to further degrees and this one is no different. A-side Rashad & Gant-Man start with the colourful and classically slick P-Funk energy of 'Heaven Sent', beside the synthetic pomp of Earl's 'Enlightenment' and the brilliantly weird jazz-fusion bass and Amiga melodies of Traxman's 'We Are The Best'. B-side, Rashad and Manny drop the biggest highlight with 'R House', slicing up Chuck Roberts' legendary 'My House' sample over classic boogiesoul chops and rampant rhythms, and then you got DJ Spinn's rapid-fire 'Don't Shoot' and the locked-in mania of 'Manny's 'All I Do Is (Smoke Trees)'. Baaadness!
