damu - Ridin' EP
Flashy House poses from Damu on the teaser single for his forthcoming 'Unity' album. With singles on Silverback and Local Action, he's already established a very clean cut, dense and ecstatically busy sound, which is exactly what you'll find here. A-side 'Ridin' thumps on a fusion of rolling, percussive House and dynamic, hypercoloured boogie somewhere between Hud Mo and Ossie, while 'Crystal Gaea' is undoubtedly indebted to the fractal calculations of Zomby, but with a neatly tucked trace of '90s House vibes. Flipside, again 'Be Free' is showered with breathless, cascading arpeggios, but this time with a melancholy R&B infusion, while 'Karolina's Magic J' is like a densely woven take on Jam City style LDN House.
