Staggering production from Falty DL backed with a massive Jamie xx remix!!! Following a trend for his recent beats, Falty DL's 'Hip Love' nails that black art of uncannily febrile yet locked-on groove programming, making it sound like a DJ has found the fabled "third track" in between two distinctly strong rhythms. We haven't got a clue how he does it but it sounds incredible and makes us want to bruk the f**k out. On the flip Jamie xx cools the vibe into a more streamlined 4/4 swing, not quite Garage, not quite Funky, and not really Dubstep, more some kind of mutant R&B House that seems to work on its own elastic timescale. They're both killer tracks, as good as you'll find anywhere this week. Recommended!
