The much anticipated technoid Funky hookup of Appleblim & Ramadanman, backed with a scintillating Carl Craig edit! 'Void 23' is about the straightest tech-house thing we've heard Rams and 'Blim produce all year, but that certainly doesn't detract from its tried and tested dancefloor prowess. If you were going to improve it though, there's one man you'd call up for this kind of job... Carl Craig offers one of his finest reworks this year, evening the rhythmic keel with his elegant touch while keeping firmly Funky compatible with nuff swing and dextrous flex to warrant Erol Alkan's reaction "...just blew my mind" after witnessing Ramadanman dropping it at a gig.
