On the A-side we get Mathemagic's 'Breaststroke', a sublime marriage of strangely squashed bass guitar with deliciously smacky vocals and half-heard drag beats in a lovely meeting of Shoegaze and Witch house disciplines. Without the buried beats and featuring a more natural indie bass, Young Prisms occupy a more classic shoegaze space strongly indebted to MBV, but also with a drowned optimism akin to Ducktails. Highly Recommended!
