trentemoller - Even Though You're With Another Girl
The second single to be lifted from Trentemoller's Into The Great Wide Yonder album, '... Even Though You're With Another Girl' finds the Danish producer in downbeat mode, fashioning a hauntingly noir-ish and forlorn love song with the assistance of Josephine Philip, singer of Copenhagen-based rock band Darkness Falls. Marimbas and melodramatic string riffs all help flesh out the atmosphere of the piece, and the production is quite marvellous. Over on the B-side, Danish singer-songwriter Mikael Simpson takes over for an alternate take on the same track. Limited to just 120 copies.
