Jesus, this is heavy. Pressure Sounds scan a clutch of absolutely devastating Lee Perry riddims from the archives - with the sound quality so worn and obliterated in places it sounds like some kind of Hypnagogic variant on classic Black Ark dub - making for what is without doubt the standout Lee Perry archival issue of the last few years. Seek and ye shall find some of the absolute choice nuggets in the Upsetter archives like 'Lama Lava Mix One' with Augustus Pablo, a deadly (yet murky) mix of 'Bucky Skank' and the amazing dub of 'Roots Train Number Two' with Junior Murvin or the rickety rude early drum machine styles of 'Chim Cherie'. It really doesn't get any better - and now that its on heavyweight double vinyl, an absolute must.
